Schneider Electric Recognized for Innovation

Schneider Electric is a global industrial technology leader bringing world-leading expertise in electrification, automation, and digitization to smart industries, resilient infrastructure, future-proof data centers, intelligent buildings, and intuitive homes. The company provides integrated end-to-end lifecycle AI-enabled industrial solutions with connected products, automation, software, and services. In May, the company announced that it had been ranked first globally by global technology market intelligence firm ABI Research's 2025 Competitive Ranking on Grid Digitalization Technologies.

"Schneider Electric scored highest in the general ranking, combining a comprehensive, dedicated, and market-leading grid technologies suite with strong adoption, a robust ecosystem approach, and a firm commitment to sustainability," according to ABI Research. The report highlighted Schneider Electric's advanced offerings across its EcoStruxure Advanced Distribution Management Systems, EcoStruxure Distributed Energy Resource Management Systems, Outage Management Systems, energy and flexibility trading, and virtual substations.

The top ranking by ABI Research follows the recent debut of Schneider Electric's One Digital Grid Platform, an integrated and AI-powered platform designed to enhance grid resiliency, reliability, and efficiency. Built on an open, modular framework, the new platform provides the data and technical foundation to integrate independent software solutions, enabling utilities to accelerate grid modernization and deliver cleaner and more affordable energy. The platform empowers utilities to streamline operations and reduce engineering and maintenance costs.

Earlier in May, the company announced that it had been recognized for leadership in implementing energy efficiency measures. During the annual Better Buildings, Better Plants Summit event, the U.S. Department of Energy awarded Schneider Electric with two distinctions. The company received the Better Project Recognition for its Lincoln, Nebraska, Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning (HVAC) Electrification Project and the Better Practice Recognition for its Building Automation System Playbook.

The first Better Project Recognition acknowledged partners for outstanding accomplishments in implementing energy, water, and waste projects at individual facilities. Schneider Electric secured the award for the modernization of its Lincoln, Nebraska, factory, which has been operational for over 50 years. The company developed an HVAC electrification project to help the Lincoln Plant recover and process wasted heat. By deploying innovative technology to capture the wasted heat produced and loop it back into the facility, the company improved the plant's energy efficiency and sustainability.

The second Better Practice Recognition was presented to partners for innovative and industry-leading accomplishments in implementing and promoting practices, principles, and procedures of energy management. Schneider Electric was recognized for its Building Automation System Playbook, which leverages the company's technology solutions to drive greater electrification, efficiency, and sustainability. To further bolster its domestic supply chain capabilities in the U.S., Schneider Electric launched a program to standardize its Building Management Systems across North America. This standardization has allowed for more seamless communication across facilities and partner businesses, improved integration of analytics, and a simplified deployment process to maximize energy efficiency across its operations.

"These awards from the U.S. Department of Energy further validate our impact and our purpose, to make the most of our energy and resources," says Agustin Lopez Diaz, the company's Senior Vice President for Supply Chain North America.

Schneider Electric was recently ranked as one of Glassdoor's Best Places to Work 2025. In 2024, TIME magazine ranked Schneider Electric as the world's most sustainable company. Schneider Electric was also named the World's Most Sustainable Corporation 2025 by Corporate Knights. The company, which became a Hacienda tenant in 2013, has an estimated 150,000 employees and more than a million partners operating in over 100 countries.
