NextHome, Inc. is an independently owned national franchisor with a focus on changing the way consumers work with local agents and shop for real estate online. Last month, NextHome was recognized as one of the top 500 franchises in Entrepreneur's Franchise 500, the world's first and most comprehensive franchise ranking. For 46 years, achieving placement on the annual Entrepreneur Franchise 500 has been a highly sought-after honor in the franchise industry and is recognized as an invaluable resource for potential franchisees. The 2025 Franchise 500 ranks NextHome as number 360 for its outstanding performance in areas including unit growth, financial strength and stability, and brand power. This is the sixth consecutive year the real estate franchise has been placed on the prominent list.
In Entrepreneur's continuing effort to best understand and evaluate the ever-changing franchise marketplace, the company's ranking formula continues to evolve. The editorial team researches and assesses several factors, including costs and fees, size and growth, support, brand strength, and financial strength and stability. Each franchise is given a cumulative score based on an analysis of more than 150 data points, and the 500 franchises with the highest cumulative scores become the Franchise 500 in ranking order.
"For those looking to start their own real estate business, having a franchisor like NextHome in their corner alleviates a lot of the crucial, albeit mundane, to-dos to create and maintain a successful business," according to Charis Moreno, NextHome Vice President of Sales. "We're thrilled to continually be recognized as one of the country's top franchises by Entrepreneur."
Earlier in January, NextHome officials announced it has also been named Best-Overall on Franchise Business Review's list of the Top Franchises for 2025 along with being Best-in-Category in the real estate sector. This is the 20th year Franchise Business Review has honored the top-ranked franchise opportunities as rated by franchise business owners. Franchise Business Review, a market research firm that performs independent surveys of franchisee satisfaction and employee engagement, provides the only rankings and awards for franchise companies based solely on actual franchisee satisfaction and performance.
Franchise Business Review publishes its rankings of the top 200 franchises in its annual Guide to Today's Top Franchises. NextHome was among more than 350 franchise brands, representing over 34,000 franchise owners, that participated in Franchise Business Review's research. NextHome's franchisees were surveyed on 33 benchmark questions about their experience and satisfaction regarding critical areas of their franchise systems, including training and support, operations, franchisor/franchisee relations, and financial opportunity.
"Having NextHome ranked the number one franchise in the country once again is not only an honor, but a testament to our franchise model's continued success in an industry that's continually evolving," according to James Dwiggins, Chief Executive Officer of NextHome. Last year "was a difficult year in real estate. Everyone, from our corporate team to each broker and agent representing the brand across the country, faced immense challenges. As a franchisor, our success can be attributed to always focusing on our people and their success. By providing the best marketing and technology tools, training opportunities, and world-class customer service, NextHome real estate professionals can spend more time doing what they do best-helping people find their next home."
The NextHome franchise, founded in 2014, has over 600 offices and 6,000-plus members across the United States. The company closed over 30,000 transactions in 2024 worth more than $11 billion in volume. Each office is an independently owned and operated business. The company moved its corporate office to Hacienda in 2016.
