Nuubia Crafts Tasty Chocolate Treats for Corporate Gifts and Snacks

Business experts say that sending thoughtfully chosen corporate gifts to clients can be an effective marketing strategy. Scientists say that eating quality dark chocolate offers surprising health benefits. These facts place artisan chocolatier Nuubia SF at the sweet spot of corporate-gift suppliers. Indeed, the company's delicious treats make its online shop and corporate home in Hacienda sweet spots for anyone who loves tasty, humanely sourced quality ingredients.

Nuubia has been selling chocolates and other confections online since it opened at Hacienda in 2009. The company offers premium gift chocolates, grab-and-go treats, sea salt caramels, fruit confections, truffles, and Caramelized Hazelnut Spread.

Nuubia is open between 10 am and 6 pm on Mondays through Fridays. On Tuesdays and Thursdays it opens one hour earlier, at 9 am, selling freshly baked premium chocolate chip cookies and brownies made with real butter and fine chocolate. Nuubia advises those interested to arrive early as these items sell out quickly. The good news for customers who cannot make it to Suite 220 at 5673 West Las Positas Boulevard in Pleasanton before the cookies run out is that DoorDash and Uber Eats can make the run on your behalf.

There is much more than chocolate chip cookies available from Nuubia. The company also creates and sells custom chocolates with logos for sports teams and other clients, corporate gift packages, and campus snacks. Employee snack clients include both well-known corporations and less-famous companies that want to treat their employees well.

For Google, Nuubia created a vegan rice crispy style treat made of crunchy, caramelized brown rice squares drenched in a rich dark chocolate flavored with a dash of espresso. "It took me a year to find someone to make rice without palm oil," says Alexandra Saunders, who founded Nuubia after a career in wildlife resource management within the sciences.

Everything Nuubia sells is made from scratch at its Hacienda facility and nothing it makes contains palm oil. That makes Nuubia and its confections a rarity. Many food companies use palm oil in their products, a practice that threatens the well-being of animals such as orangutans, tigers, elephants, and rhinos.

Nuubia also produces private-label confections for animal sanctuaries and pet shelters to help them raise funds for their organizations. "One hundred percent of the profits go to their cause because of our commitment to helping animals, including wildlife," says Saunders.

The company is just as dedicated to delivering delicious, quality products. The company's head chef has won many awards for his creations, including Chocolatier of the Year and USA Chocolate Masters Champion. In 2014, Esquire magazine featured Nuubia's Crispy Hazelnut and Sea Salt candy bar in its "The Best New Food in America" article. Saunders says this candy bar is "like a Snickers bar on steroids, with fine dark chocolate, crisped rice, salty caramel, ground hazelnuts, butter, and heavy cream."

Saunders is proud of Nuubia's accomplishments while continuing to build for its future. This certified California Green Business will soon be rolling out new candy bars, for example, and is exploring new chocolate creations. Nuubia's latest project is developing tasty Indian-spiced ganaches, including ginger and cardamom, that are inspired by the flavors of Chai Masala tea.
