Intero Real Estate Calls Hopyard Plaza Home

Company Will be First Tenant in Hacienda Office Project

Intero Real Estate Services, a local real estate firm established just last year, has opened the latest of its new offices in the new Hopyard Plaza building, located at 5075 Hopyard Road. Intero is leasing 12,000 square feet in the new facility, with approximately 3,000 square feet being sublet to a title company. The new office space will accommodate some 70 agents.

The new 44,250 square foot Hopyard Plaza building is owned and managed by Chamberlin Associates, a company that is also a Hacienda tenant. Hopyard Plaza is a brick-clad building with a focal tower that faces Hopyard and a tile roof. "The property is distinctive primarily because of its architecture," says Bill Liu, Chamberlin Associates' property manager for Hopyard Plaza. "It has an old world charm while being very prominent, which is a good fit for Intero." The new building is two signal lights from the 580 interchange and a mile or so from 680, making it easy to spot for visitors and passers by alike. "Hopyard Plaza seems to be a very well-recognized new piece of property and we're the first tenants," says Robin Dickson, vice president and managing officer of the Pleasanton Intero office.

"On June 9, we opened five new offices in the East Bay," Dickson says. "We have opened offices in Pleasanton, Danville, Blackhawk, Walnut Creek, and Orinda." In addition, the company also has offices in Cupertino, Los Gatos, and San Jose. All of the local managers for Intero's new East Bay operations were formerly managers of other local real estate offices. "100% of our staff joined us, along with many of our agents," Dickson says. "In the East Bay, we brought about 150 agents with us, and now we have agents joining us from other companies as well."

Dickson says that there are a number of factors that make Intero attractive to realtors. "We were really looking for an opportunity for our agents that would allow them to grow. This real estate company is different in that it's owned and run by realtors." Intero's senior management is comprised of well-known and respected industry professionals. Gino Blefari, president and CEO of Intero Real Estate Services has more than 20 years of experience in real estate sales, development, and management, from local to national operations.

Among Intero's goals is to instill integrity, compassion, loyalty, commitment, and professionalism into every interaction with its customers. "We exist as a team to provide the best and most positive real estate experience for our clients," Dickson says. "Our agents are not new to the business. They're highly experienced professionals who have sought another alternative in terms how they want to work. We offer a really fresh and exciting approach."
