  • Tut Systems

    Hacienda's Tut Systems, Inc. has acquired VideoTele.com, a subsidiary of Tektronix, Inc. The transaction is expected to enable Tut Systems to deliver digital headend products, such as set-top boxes and interactive TV, and high-capacity digital video switching products for telecommunication service providers. Tut Systems also plans to capitalize on VideoTele.com's industry-leading video trunking solutions and its own broadband data transport products for government, education and private campus environments. Tut Systems provides next-generation, full-service systems optimized for provisioning broadband services within neighborhood (NDUs) and multi-tenant unit properties (MTUs).

  • Hacienda Companies Recognized by East Bay Business Times

    Two Hacienda businesses made the East Bay Business Times' recent list of the largest privately-held companies in the East Bay. Prudential California Realty, which is headquartered on West Las Positas Boulevard, made the top of the list with 2001 company-wide revenue of $8 billion. Dillingham Construction Corp., based on Inglewood Drive, was ranked number four with 2001 revenues of $1.1 billion.

    divine, inc. announced that divine Content Server 5.0, which will be generally available later this year, received top scores in eight of 10 categories in Forrester's Content Management TechRankings. divine Content Server captured top scores in the Architecture, Management and Integration categories, including a 5 out of 5 score for Content Creation & Aggregation. The divine Content Server enables a globally decentralized work force to simply and quickly publish content without the intervention of programmers or graphic designers. The result is a significant reduction in Web content management costs.

    Hacienda's AKIRA has introduced the NEOART SV-4201H, a high-contrast plasma display, to the world market. The new model offers a 42-inch display as well as a 3,000:1 contrast ratio, the highest in the industry, which allows for greater shadow detail. The NEOART SV-4201H is 3.3 inches thick, weights 64 pounds and features 852x480-pixel resolution and 550cd/m2 brightness.

  • Polycom, Inc.

    Polycom, Inc., headquartered in Hacienda, has entered into an agreement with Enventis Telecom, Inc., which will allow the latter company to market Polycom's complete line of interactive video communications and web collaboration products as a key part of its complete Internet-based solutions offered to its customers. The agreement with Polycom allows Enventis Telecom to address the growing demand of Internet data and Internet-based video technologies by marketing The Polycom Office, an integrated end-to-end solution for converged communications.
